Top 5 Attractions in Sevierville

Posted on July 6, 2020October 21, 2020

With all of the different sights and attractions to see and do in Sevierville, it can be hard to choose a top 5, but we think we did pretty well! We’ve gathered up an assortment of must-sees in Sevierville and have included something for the family, something for the adults, something for the adventurous, something for the shoppers, and something for the foodies. Which attraction will you choose first?

Smoky Mountain Deer Farm & Exotic Petting Zoo

Where can you find horses and ponies and zebras, oh my!? Smoky Mountain Deer Farm & Exotic Petting Zoo is home to reindeer, elk, kangaroos, goats, zebras, horses, and more! Spend time petting, feeding, or viewing the friendly creatures and then enjoy a 30, 45, or 60-minute horseback ride through the 143-acre foothills farm.

Hillside Winery

Enjoy outdoor seating, tours, wine slushies, cheese trays, and free tasting at this Italian-style winery.  While there, taste the award-winning Muscadine Mist and inquire about the Rocky Top Wine Trail, a trail that takes you through five local wineries and offers over 75 unique, high-quality wines to try.

Forbidden Caverns

Where is it always a constant 58-degrees in the Great Smoky Mountains? At Forbidden Caverns, an underground oasis 600-feet beneath the surface of the earth! Stretching for half a mile, Forbidden Caverns offers mineral formations, grottoes, pools of water, and a cool stream fed by an underground lake. Visitors will also find the largest wall of cave onyx here! Ideal for all ages, this natural adventure in the Smokies will leave you in awe.

Tanger Outlets

Shop at over 100 of the leading brand names and designers in America at Tanger Outlets, Sevierville’s premier shopping outlet center! Start at Starbucks for fuel before venturing out to find your deals at places like Ralph Lauren, Under Armor, Gap, Bath and Body Works, Coach, Disney Outlet, As Seen On TV, and so much more! When you’re ready for food, jump over to The Chop House, a local favorite for steaks!

The Apple Barn and General Store

You can’t visit Sevierville, TN and not stop at The Apple Barn! Shop the general store for a variety of mountain crafts, apple butter, jams, candy, mixes, home decor, and so much more! You’ll also find apples and cider, an ice cream shop “The Creamery”, the Apple Barn Winery, and two restaurants on the property! The Apple Barn is nestled near the Little Pigeon River and offers visitors good eats, great views, fun shopping, and delightful memories!

These five attractions in Sevierville are just the beginning of what the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer. To learn more great things to do in the Smokies, visit our Trip Ideas page to find your next adventure.
