 Sevierville, Tennessee is the perfect place to visit for families looking for a fun and educational experience. Several of the city’s premier attractions are equally enjoyable and educational. The six most popular of these attractions are listed below to help you decide which to visit first.

Alcatraz East

Not just for the crime buff, Alcatraz East is one of the country’s premier crime museums. This Sevierville museum will not only educate the whole family on several criminal processes, proceedings, and trials but will also allow you to view several criminal artifacts and interact in many of the exhibits. These artifacts include Ted Bundy’s VW Beetle, O.J. Simpson’s White Bronco, and many more.

Sevier County Heritage Museum

The Sevier County Heritage Museum will educate visitors on the local area’s history and culture, a favorite for the history lovers out there. This history museum contains various newspapers, war uniforms, and other artifacts that define the region. The museum is supported by volunteers, the county, grants, and public donations. Most items in the museum’s collection have been donated.

Titanic Museum

The Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge is the largest Titanic museum or attraction in the world. The museum features several interactive exhibits, interpretive tours, and artifacts from the actual Titanic. These artifacts include a 1.7 million dollar Titanic Violin. Visitors to the museum will learn about the Titanic’s construction, its sinking, and more.

WonderWorks

Combining education and entertainment in over 100 hands-on exhibits, the WonderWorks Museum is the ultimate family attraction. The museum has exhibits relating to weather, space, art, light, sound, and many more. Each of these areas of the museum features several interactive displays that are sure to not only educate the whole family but also provide many laughs and smiles.

Rainforest Adventures

Open year-round, Rainforest Adventures houses over 600 animals and more than 130 species. These animals are housed in habitats constructed to be very similar to the ones they would naturally occupy. Visitors of all ages are sure to learn a lot about the various animals at Rainforest Adventures and enjoy themselves while doing so.

Smoky Mountain Relic Room

Tucked inside Smoky Mountain Knife Works is the Relic Room, a treasure-trove of delights. From the world’s oldest fossil known to science to the oldest tools of history, the Relic Room is a display to be enjoyed by all ages, with many of the items for sale. Stop by and look at, touch, and even buy a piece of history in Sevierville.
