5 Must See Attractions While You’re at Wilderness at the Smokies

Posted on August 27, 2026August 6, 2026

The Smoky Mountains are made for outdoor adventures, but the weather doesn’t always follow your vacation plans. An afternoon shower, a stretch of summer heat, or a chilly mountain day can be the perfect reason to take the fun indoors.

Adventure Forest at Wilderness at the Smokies makes it easy to do exactly that. This 25,000 square foot indoor entertainment center brings together games, physical challenges, and friendly competition under one roof. You can putt through a glowing course, race across a ropes course, take on your friends in laser tag, bowl a few frames, and chase a new high score in the arcade.

Adventure Forest is open to the general public, so you do not have to stay at Wilderness at the Smokies to visit. Hours and availability can vary, especially during busy periods, so checking before you arrive is a smart idea.

Whether you are visiting with your family, your partner, a group of friends, or everyone from grandparents to kids, here are five attractions you will want to try.

1. Glow Through Moonshine Run Black Light Mini Golf

If you are searching for indoor miniature golf in Sevierville, start with Moonshine Run.

This nine hole indoor putting course uses black lights, colorful scenery, and playful obstacles to turn a simple round of mini golf into a glowing mountain adventure. You do not need to be an experienced mini golfer, either. The unusual obstacles help level the playing field, so beginners may have just as much chance of winning as the person who confidently claims to have the perfect putting technique.

Moonshine Run is a fun choice when you want something everyone can enjoy together. Kids can join the game, couples can add a little competition to date night, and friends can settle the important question of who deserves bragging rights for the rest of the trip.

The course is also easy to fit into your schedule. Nine holes give you time to enjoy the experience without using an entire afternoon, although a close score may lead to requests for an immediate rematch.

Current individual admission is listed at $7. Kids age three and younger can play free with a paying adult, and anyone under 36 inches must be accompanied by an adult. Prices and rules can change, so confirm the latest details when you visit.

Are There Themed or Black Light Indoor Putting Courses Nearby?

Yes. Moonshine Run at Adventure Forest is an all indoor, black light miniature golf course in Sevierville. Its glowing setting and themed obstacles make it a great rainy day activity, an evening stop, or a relaxing break between more energetic attractions.

Because the entire course is indoors, you can play without worrying about rain, strong sun, or sudden changes in mountain weather.

2. Battle Your Crew at Fury in the Forest

Ready to pick up the pace? Head into Fury in the Forest for a game of laser tag.

The attraction features a black light, multi level arena where you can move up ramps, duck behind barrels, find a good hiding place, and take aim from an elevated outlook. The setting adds plenty of atmosphere, but the real fun comes from seeing how quickly everyone becomes competitive once the game begins.

Laser tag works especially well when your group includes different personalities. The boldest player may rush straight into the action, while someone else quietly finds the perfect position and surprises everyone with the final score.

You can divide into teams for a family challenge, play adults against kids, or let couples and friends settle their own friendly rivalries. Even people who do not normally play video games can quickly understand the goal and join in.

3. Take the High Route on Tree Top Towers

Tree Top Towers invites you to see Adventure Forest from a completely different perspective.

This three story ropes course rises above the entertainment center and challenges you to move through cargo nets, balance elements, and elevated obstacles while secured in a safety harness. You can take your time, test your balance, and enjoy the satisfaction that comes with making it across a section that looked intimidating from the ground.

You do not have to be a fearless thrill seeker to give it a try. Part of the experience is deciding which challenge to take next and moving forward at your own pace.

The course can be especially memorable for older kids and teenagers, but adults should not assume they will simply be watching from below. Couples, friends, and adventurous grandparents may have just as much fun testing their balance and encouraging one another along the route.

4. Roll for a Strike at Howlin’ Hound Dog Alley

You do not need a full size bowling lane or a heavy bowling ball to enjoy a little competition.

Howlin’ Hound Dog Alley offers miniature bowling in a casual indoor setting. The smaller scale makes it easy to add a game between other Adventure Forest attractions, and you can still celebrate every strike, spare, and lucky bounce.

Mini bowling is an especially good choice when some people in your group want to play while others would rather relax and cheer them on. It is simple to understand, does not require special experience, and can bring together travelers of several ages.

You can organize a couples challenge, let the kids take on the adults, or simply see who can avoid the gutter most consistently. A playful prize, such as choosing the next snack or vacation activity, can make the final frame even more exciting.

5. Chase High Scores in the Mega Arcade

No indoor entertainment day feels complete without a few arcade games.

Adventure Forest’s Mega Arcade offers games for a wide range of interests and ages. You can test your timing, race against someone beside you, play for electronic tickets, and see whether you have enough winnings to claim a prize before you leave.

Instead of carrying traditional tokens, you load credits onto a reusable action card. The card also keeps track of the tickets you earn, which means you do not have to carry long strands of paper tickets around the arcade.

Save With an Adventure Forest Fun Pass

When you plan to try several attractions, compare individual admission with the available Fun Pass options before purchasing.

The standard Fun Pass currently includes one visit to Moonshine Run, Fury in the Forest, Tree Top Towers, Howlin’ Hound Dog Alley, the Copperhead Laser Maze, and the Mount Wild Climbing Wall. It also includes 36 arcade credits.

You can upgrade to unlimited visits to the included attractions for the length of your stay. A Mega Fun Pass adds the Rocky Top Glider Cloud Coaster, the Wilderness XD Theater Dark Ride, and 180 arcade credits.

Make Adventure Forest Part of Your Smoky Mountain Getaway

Adventure Forest can fill an entire rainy afternoon, but you can also visit for one or two favorite attractions.

Start with Moonshine Run when you want an easygoing game everyone can play. Add laser tag when your crew is ready for action, climb into the treetops for a bigger challenge, slow things down with mini bowling, and finish in the Mega Arcade.

You may also discover more experiences while you are there, including the Copperhead Laser Maze, Mount Wild Climbing Wall, Rocky Top Glider, Wilderness XD Theater, the Human Crane Experience, and the new Beyond the Door Room Escapes.

A change in the weather does not have to take anything away from your Smoky Mountain getaway. Sometimes, it simply points you toward a new adventure.
