Rose Glen Literary Festival connects authors and readers. Local, regional, and national best-selling authors are showcased throughout a roster of presentations, book signings, and workshops. Bruce Street Brewfest Microbrew Festival serves up craft beers, tasty food, and upbeat music. The 7th annual event will take over a section of Historic Downtown Sevierville on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 2 to 6 p.m. Guests of all ages may attend, but adults age 21+ are invited to sample from dozens of home and professional brewers to enjoy a wide range of beers from hoppy IPAs to malty stouts. Admission includes beer, a souvenir glass, and musical entertainment. Food will be available for purchase from a variety of food trucks. Festival goers can cast votes in the People’s Choice competition; there’s also a judged competition among homebrewers. Smallmouth King Bass Tournament invites anglers to cast their luck and test their skills on Sevierville’s world-class bass waters. The 5th annual event—which ranks as one of the South’s best smallmouth bass tournaments—is a smallmouth-bass-only, catch-photograph-release event set for June 1 and 2, 2024. Competitors can fish from the shore, wade, or kayak the Little Pigeon River and its tributaries, all of which will be teeming with thousands of migrating bass on their spring runs. Winners are crowned based on their two-day total length of smallmouth bass greater than 12 inches long. Four prizes are awarded at 3 p.m. on the final day of the competition: Grand prize, $1,000; 2nd place, $400; 3rd place, $200; and biggest fish, $100. Entry fees run $50/$75 depending on date of registration; register early for the best price and to ensure a spot since the total number of competitors is limited. Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival celebrates music, food, and camaraderie in a rural setting. The 24th annual event will take place September 19, 20, and 21, 2024, rain or shine.
