There are three main routes to take for your scenic drive between Sevierville and Gatlinburg.
The Parkway (US-441): Take the Parkway (US-411) due south turning slightly southeast at Pigeon Forge, continuing into Gatlinburg. This is the most direct route between the two cities, providing easy access to countless restaurants, shops, and attractions along the way. (Note that this route is prone to traffic congestion during peak tourist seasons.)
Scenic Route via 441/416/454: Start by heading south toward Main St, then follow Dolly Parton Parkway (TN-416 S/Pittman Center Rd) and TN-454 to Glades Rd. Turn right onto Glades Rd and continue for a few miles before turning right onto East Parkway, passing McDonald’s on your right. Finally, follow TN-73 to reach Gatlinburg. (This route takes you parallel – to the east - of The Parkway, reconnecting with US-441 just north of Pigeon Forge. This is a back road to Gatlinburg, leading to the Arts & Crafts Community called The Glades.)
Wears Valley: Begin this route at US-411 in Sevierville heading to Wears Valley Road (Route 321). The longest scenic drive between the Sevierville and Gatlinburg, this route covers about 24 miles, providing travelers with breathtaking mountain views, less traffic, and lots of local businesses to explore.
