Dolly Parton Statue
This six-and-a-half-foot statue, designed by renowned artist Jim Gray, was erected to honor Sevierville native Dolly Parton in 1987. Sitting atop a mountain stone chosen to represent Dolly’s Smoky Mountain roots, the statue depicts Dolly playing the guitar. Dolly considers this her most enduring accolade. (Want to learn more? Jackson Magnolia Blossom
Sevierville's Jackson Magnolia tree, located near the Bruce Street Gazebo in our historic downtown, has quite the lineage. In 1829, President Andrew Jackson took a seedling from his wife's favorite magnolia tree at The Hermitage and planted it at the White House. A seedling from that tree, known as the Andrew Jackson Magnolia, was shared with Senator Howard Baker who planted it and has since generously provided a seedling from his tree that has now been planted in downtown Sevierville.
